naturally i had to ask what her thoughts behind the song was as it was part her penmenship..
" I love this song! When my friend asked me to do it, I was drawn to write for all ladies everywhere in the world. The words are simple yet true. Whether we work a 9-5 or graveyard, (night to morning), we handle business for whatever our needs and wants may be. And to not pass up Trundeed, he is the mastermind behind this empowering anthem for ladies. I wrote to his rap so he is the one that really wanted to write a song to show respect for all we do.
To me, "Ms. Independent" is empowering, direct, honest and great. I am proud of the song and the message it sends.
