The Warm Up vs So Far Gone

Now I've been down with Mr. Aubrey Graham since his days as Jimmy in a wheel chair reppin canada teens. So wen I heard him in 07 "replacement girl" with my beloved Trey Songz I was smitten. Thus began my study of Drake. I wanted to hear all he touched cause I was taken aback my his talent. And in the midst of my admiration sometime early 09 I came across J. Cole. And my love affair with Aubrey Drake being the revival of HipHop descended upon Jermaine Cole. He was now my HipHops CPR.

Where Drake is full of Catchy Hooks, WordPlay and MainStream (( aka playboi )) appeal. The definition of success in todays industry.

.... JCole is the definition of HipHOP.

First you've got to understand my Love of HipHop. The vividly painted portraits of life thru linguistics gives meh a high incomparable. Drake was like my Weed, As JCole has become my Cocaine. (( Don't play wit your nose folks ))

So who is JCole? With all the metaphors, Similes, wordplay, catchy hooks, n main stream appeal (( same as drake )) JCole effortlessly tells stories in a smooth delivery painting pictures with every word.
His flow is natural and his subjects are fresh. Every time he kicks it, wen the song is done ya feel like ya steppin out his mind. Like you fell into his life for a second (( Think of flowing along to Nas or JayZ ))

So why is it Drake is the " IT " child of our hip hop generation? Why is it Drake who is on at least 4 songs you'll hear in an hour on the radio? How is he out her smashin the game from top to bottom? Why is that?

No don't get meh bent. I RIDE for Drake. He is AMAZE talent. (( Ie. AliciaKeys Unthinkable, his "Brand New", n his already smash hits, n grammy nomination )) But....

His depth is one of waves approaching shore. A site to see. .... JColes depth is still. Running deep. Being looked over.

Today people don't appreciate music for its entirety. Its more about can you sing along off key wen your drunk and grind your ass to it wit no problems. People have forgotten the true meaning of music n hip hop.

Its story telling. Its connecting. Its emotions. Its touching people souls.
